CDAH is a peer support organisation

CDAH stands for Community Disability Alliance Hunter. CDAH is run for and by people with a disability with the support of their families and allies. We aim to assist people to live the lives they choose.

We are guided by our vision of an inclusive and just society where people with disability have voice, choice and control. CDAH was launched in November 2012 and we have a proud history of bringing together people with disability and family members, to share our respective wisdom and experiences. A group of almost 40 peer mentors have graduated from CDAH’s innovative peer mentoring training program and our approach to peer support and inclusion have led us being invited to speak about our work at national conferences, and regular requests to help groups outside of the Hunter to establish user-led organisations. CDAH organises regular events and people are welcome to join! You can find information and updates on all our events here: Some of the great ways that you can support our vision are to become a member, sign up to our mailing list or call or write us an email.
