Alt Stories meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 3pm – 4:30pm. This is a hybrid group and you can join online, or in person at our office at 202 King St, Newcastle 2300. 

Alt Stories is a welcoming and accessible book club created by and for people with disability. Whether you’re a lifelong reader or just discovering the joy of books, Alt Stories is a space where everyone’s voice matters and every story is valued. 

We meet regularly to explore books of all genres, from fiction and memoirs to poetry and disability-focused literature. Discussions are relaxed, thoughtful, and inclusive, with accommodations available to meet diverse access needs.
