Zoom Office

The ZOOM Office is a virtual space where peers can get together on a range of interesting topics.  Find out what’s happening in the world of books, crafts and sport, or get together to discuss COVID updates and news and tune into some wellbeing or history.
Weekly Zoom Office events have been put on hold for the moment. Please check in regularly for upcoming events.

Regular Peer Groups

The Hive (Mental health and advocacy group): Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5.30 pm – 7.00 pm, we meet via the CDAH website Red Button Zoom

Hunter Deafblind Drop-in (For Deafblind Peers and Allies): Every fortnight on Friday at CDAH 10:00 am to 1.00 pm

Members Action Group (CDAH members group): 4th Wednesday of each month: 1.00 pm – 3.00pm

Queer Peers: 2nd Tuesday of every month: 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm

Speak Up Hunter (for people with an intelectual disability): 2nd Friday of every month: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Women First (for women with a disability): Last Friday of every month: 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm

Writers Group: Last Tuesday of every month: 5:30pm, Location: via CDAH website Red Button Zoom

Next Gen: Every fortnight on Friday at CDAH  10:00 am to 12.00  (different Fridays from he Deafblind Drop-in)

Social Gatherings

Catch Up Crew (Social group for all): 2nd Thursday of every month: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Hunter Deafblind Connect

Hunter Deafblind Connect is a network of people working towards inclusion for deafblind people living in the Hunter region including those who have moved out of the Stockton Centre, most of whom only have paid supports in their life. For many this is the first time people have had the chance to meet and become involved in the local Deafblind community.
